Punch holes at all the dots marked on the back thru both thicknesses. If desired, only punch holes in just the middle and one on each side of the feet on the front. Be careful not to punch too close to the edge or the yarn/floss will pull thru. If this should happen, repair the hole with a very small piece of transparent tape over the hole on the front, over the edge and then over the hole on the back.
To sew the Angel, thread the needle with about a 1 to 3 yard length of the yarn or floss, depending on the size of the Angel. If you have trouble threading the needle with yarn, apply a small amount of glue to the end of the yarn, flatten it out and allow it to dry. After the needle has been threaded, cut the glued end off.
Start at the first hole in the bottom of the skirt on the left side with the front facing you. Leaving a 4" tail of yarn/floss, bring the needle up thru both the front and back holes and make a blanket or whip stitch to tack the front and back together. Go thru the holes again to anchor the yarn/floss. Using the blanket or whip stitch in the front skirt holes only, stitch across the front of the skirt bottom to the last hole on the right side of the skirt. Sew thru both the front and back holes to tack the front and back together in the last hole of the skirt on the right side.
The Angel is now stitched together in the first hole only on the left side and the last hole only on the right side. The front of the skirt only is stitched all the way across. The back of the skirt has not been sewn and has only the holes punched.
Continue to sew thru both front and back holes all the way around to join the Angel front and back together. End at the first skirt hole on the left side where you started. Using the back skirt holes only, sew all across the back of the skirt on the bottom to the last hole on the right side. You may stitch the back skirt from either the outside or the inside of the Angel, whichever is easier for you. Tie off by weaving the yarn/floss up between the front and back stitches for a few holes and then thru to the outside. Cut off the yarn/floss at the side and tack with a dot of glue. Go back to the 4" tail and weave it up thru to the outside in the same manner. If desired, apply very small beads of glue on the edges just under the yarn/floss in spots where the yarn/floss does not want to stay in place, like at the wing tips and under the bottom of the feet.
