10", 7 ˝" or 5" Paper Christmas Angel
Tree Topper or Table Decoration
Beginner Level
Read all instructions before beginning.

This Angel is made from paper and trimmed with a blanket or whip stitch in yarn or floss.  It is very fast and easy to make and a good project for kids, with a little adult supervision at the cutting and sewing steps.  The Angel pattern comes in 3 sizes:  10", 7 ˝" and 5" for use with most trees or for table décor, or place holders.

List of Materials:
  • Cardstock, Linen Paper, Plain or Colored Paper, Manila Folder or Cereal Box
  • Crayons, Colored Pencils, Markers or Paint
  • Yarn or Embroidery Floss, Color of Your Choice
  • Large Eyed Tapestry Needle
  • 1/8" Hole Punch
  • Toilet Paper Tube
  • Craft Glue

Choose the size Angel you want to make and print the front and back of the Angel onto card stock, linen paper or plain paper. If using the plain paper, glue it to a Manila folder or other lightweight cardboard such as a cereal box after printing the patterns.

Color the Angel, if desired, with crayons, colored pencils, markers or paint.  Carefully cut her out just at the outside edge of the black line.

Tack the Angel together by placing a small bead of craft glue on the inside back at the bottom of the wing tips and at the top of the head above the halo.  Align the front over the back, wrong sides together, and starting with the top of the head, press them together.  Let the glue dry.  If necessary, trim the outside edges so they are identical and use a black marker to color in the edges and any discrepancies.
