- Make sure the eyehole marks are directly across from each other. Adjust if necessary. Poke a hole at the eye mark with an awl or scissor point to make a hole the size of the eye shank. Try not to cut or break the threads in the hole. Push the eye shank all the way into the hole from the inside of the head. Press the metal ring on the shank, making sure the ring seats all the way to the base of the eye and will not pull out. Repeat for other eye.
Arms and Legs:
- Fold one arm/leg piece with the right sides of the fur together. Sew down the long side. Turn right side out. Repeat for the other 3. You now have 2 arms and 2 legs.
- With the critter wrong side out, slip one arm thru the arm slit from the inside of the body to the outside backing. Make sure the fur runs down the arm, and the arm seam is at the bottom of the slit. The arm should protrude thru the hole about ¼". Sew thru all thicknesses of the arm and body. Repeat for the other arm.
- Follow the same procedure for the legs as with the arms.

Hands and Feet:
- The hands and feet are interchangeable. Designate 2 pair as the hands and 2 pair as the feet. Set the feet aside.
- Separate the hands into 4 single pieces. Take two of the single hand pieces and lay them out with the thumb of one pointing up and the thumb of the other one pointing down and the "fingers" facing each other.
- Separate one of the Velcro dots or strips. Sew the hook side of the Velcro at the center on one hand piece with the thumb up. Sew the loop side of the Velcro to the center on the other hand with the thumb down.
- Put the hands back together into pairs and zigzag around each pair. You may blanket stitch around them using 2 or 3 strands of embroidery floss if you prefer. Lightly stuff the hands. You now have Velcro on the back of one hand and the opposing Velcro on the palm of the other.
